Description
A precious little Moa (Red Junglefowl) chick wandering through grasses that were taller than she is around the North Shore of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. Red Junglefowl are considered the "original chicken." They are native to Southeast Asia and South Asia and brought to the Islands by the first Polynesian settlers centuries ago. Living the good life, wild and free in paradise.

Not to worry, Mary! Mom and siblings were close at hand. This was just the friendliest of the bunch.
